My hero's different from those on TV,
Because unlike them, my hero's there for me.
He's not like Superman with the "S" on his chest,
But my hero's better than all the rest.
Whenever I cry he wipes my tears;
Whenever he's around I have no fears.
My hero's perfect; he has all the looks,
But his face isn't printed throughout comic books.
No billion-dollar movies of him were made,
Because my hero's debts could never be paid.
He's too busy watching and helping me-
My hero's different from those you see.
I can't tell you what he looks like, or even his name,
Because if I did that, things wouldn't be the same.
My hero's not really the 'average Joe'-
My hero's different, I just want you to know.
